Liam Bambrick MA, MPS, LCPC, NCC, CADC, is a licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor/Psychotherapist, a National Certified Counsellor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor. Liam brings the richness of 14 years experience as a therapist to his work with individuals and couples and uses an integrated approach to counselling / Psychotherapy. He has extensive experience and training in facilitating process groups. He has a particular interest in facilitating couples to enrich and enhance their relationships, utilising techniques from Harville Hendrix’s Imago Relationship work. His work with individuals includes: relationship issues, self esteem /self care,
stress and anger management, personal growth work, spirituality, depression, anxiety, and the active recovery stage from addiction.

Ursula Brennan Dip. Counselling, Dip. Family Therapy, Cert. Early Childhood Development. MIACP, MIAAAC. Ursula has been working in the centre since February 2000. Her professional training is in Rogerian (Person Centred) counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She has completed courses in Group Facilitation, Stress Management Techniques and Dreamwork. She also works part time in an addiction (Methadone) clinic. Her work in private practice covers the areas of Childhood Abuse, Bereavement, Depression (including Post Natal Depression), Drug Addiction, Relationship Issues, Stress / Anxiety / Phobias.

 

Linda Brunton B.A. Counselling and Psychotherapy. I.A.C.P. Linda trained at the Dublin Business School then worked for three years in a community based center for recovering heroin addicts. After further training she worked for two years in a centre for people with eating disorders. Her work in private practice covers the areas of adoption, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, stress and difficulties in relationships.

 

Martin Buckley BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy. MNAPCP. Martin has over 20 years experience in individual and relationship counselling. He also has a post-graduate qualification in workplace mediation. His approach is primarily person-centred supported by psychodynamic theory and at appropriate stages in the therapy process, utilises action-oriented models to aid empowerment and moving on. Particular focus on life-crisis issues, relationships, stress and trauma.

 

Cathy Buffini BA. MA. Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. MIACP. Cathy joined the centre in 2003 and provides individual counselling and psychotherapy for a range of sensitive life issues – loss and bereavement, communication, isolation and relationship issues, anxiety and depression, coping with and recovery from abuse, self-esteem and personal growth. Cathy also has significant professional experience in workplace settings and so also provides coaching and support on matters relating to career management, job-fit and performance, stress management and work-life balance, workplace relationships, personal development and empowerment.

 

Mary Carroll MA. MIACP;MACA. Counselling, Dip. Relationship Counselling, Dip. Gestalt Therapy. Mary has been offering relationship and individual counselling for thirteen years.

 

Susan Dowling MIACP, MIAHIP. Dip. in Counselling & Psychotherapy and Certificate in Child Psychotherapy. Susan offers a professional and confidential service for individual adults, adolescents and children. She works with relationship difficulties, anxiety, panic, stress, loneliness/emptiness, dissatisfaction with life, bereavement, self esteem issues, depression, abuse & other areas of personal growth.

 

Máirín Dunne LBCAI certified life & business coach and certified in continuing adult education. Máirín is a registered member of the Life and Business Coaching association of Ireland and a registered member of the Irish Coaching Development Network. Máiríns work as a life coach has centred on motivating people to make change in their life and coaching them through that change. Her areas of specialty within life coaching are career coaching, motivation and personal growth. Her work as a business coach has been on both a group and individual basis. She focuses on entrepreneurs who are starting or have started their own companies. She is passionate about supporting and encouraging local businesses to succeed. Frank Fagan Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy MIACP, Tutor NUI Maynooth. Frank has been working in The Fairview Therapy Centre since 2005. His major interest would be in social anxiety, in particular the physical manifestation of this anxiety, such as blushing or sweating and understanding the distressing impact on the individual. Using a CBT based approach, Frank has worked with many people experiencing such anxiety. His training in the Psychology Dept. of St. James’s Hospital also gave him invaluable experience of co-facilitating group therapy groups. He took part in a number of radio programmes for RTE while co-facilitating the “Facing your Fears” group for the Marian Finnucane show a number of years ago. For the past five years he has also worked as a tutor for NUI in Maynooth, teaching the Certificate in Counselling Skills.

 

Leonard Hayes MIACP. Dip. Psychotherapy & Counselling, CBIP. Post graduate certificate in Integrative bodywork, IPP. Dip. Anatomy Physiology & Body Massage, ITEC. Leonard has worked in Fairview Therapy Centre since 2004. He trained in the centre for Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapy in Galway and worked as a counsellor with Open Heart House for three years before moving to the centre.  His work with individuals includes: self esteem, panic attacks, stress, suicide, relationship issues, bullying, ACOA/Al anon, HIV, sexuality, sexual abuse, depression, eating disorders and bereavement/loss. Leonard has been practicing mindfulness meditation for 15 years and has extensive experience in the corporate area. 

 

Sarah McAuley BA. Msc Psych. Reg. Psychologist. M.I.A.C.P. Sarah has been in private practice since 1994. Her clinical interest is in the treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders and the often deep rooted emotional difficulties that affect the ability to love and work eg; coping with stress, self-esteem, relationship problems etc. Psychotherapy addresses the often unconscious mechanisms that produce distressing symptoms and provides a space to allow them less painful forms of expression.

Martha Morrison B.Ed.Teaching Diploma.Dip. Counselling and Psychotherapy. Dip.Life Coaching. As a teacher Martha has specialized in working with young people at risk. She provides counselling for the following issues; Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Panic attacks, Relationship problems, Stress.

Anne O’Conor Lic.TCM. RGN. SCM. Trained in General Nursing in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and Midwifery in the Coombe Hospital. Anne studied acupuncture and alternative therapies in the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dublin. She continued her training in Shiatsu, Rei-Ki and Holistic Massage in Brussels and later completed studies in Indian Head Massage and Seated Acupressure Massage. She is a member of the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Organisation (ACMO) and An Bord Altranais.

 

Karen E O’Connor MA. Dip. Psychotherapy. Cert in Griefwork. EAP. MIACP. MIAHIP. A founder member of the Clonmel Rape Crisis Centre, Karen was Senior Counsellor and Administrator for five years. She provided individual counselling for teenage and adult survivors of sexual abuse, their families and friends. She also facilitated seminars and workshops on child sexual abuse for the South-Eastern Health Board; Tipperary VEC. CMAC; Youth Encounter; Parent Councils. In private practice in Dublin since 1990 she continues to work with individuals coping with a wide range of issues; Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Relationship difficulties, Trauma, Sexuality. She is also an accredited supervisor.

 

Shenaz Kelly Rawat is an Occupational Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Executive coach. Her experience in both commercial and therapeutic contexts has given her a unique perspective on performance issues in Organisations. Her expertise lies in facilitating personal change to meet the demands of the workplace. MsOccPsych.

 

Valerie Ritson B.A. Psych. MIAHP. MLBCI. Valerie’s degree is in Contemplative Psychology. In addition she has post-graduate trainings in body-centred psychotherapy as well as certificates in Jungian Studies, Solution Focused Psychotherapy, Business and Life Coaching. Her therapeutic work covers anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bereavement, trauma, phobias, stress-management, relationships and life-skills issues as well as extensive experience in the corporate sector.

 

Anita Stapleton-Mirolo B.A. (Psych), M.L.B.C.A.I. Life  Business Coach. Certified Louise Hay Practitioner. Life Coaching is a practice of assisting clients to determine and achieve personal goals. Anita offers Coaching individually or in groups and utilizes the positive philosophy of Louise Hay to assist in the coaching process. Anita also facilitates meditation classes and strongly advocates the practice of regular meditation during the coaching period to help de-stress the body and mind and promote inner wisdom.

Maureen Treanor B.A., Dip Sys Family Therapy, Grad. Dip. Sup. Pct. Maureen is a registered member of the Family Therapy Association of Ireland and a registered member of the Irish Council of Psychotherapy. She worked in Adult Education for many years and currently works half time in the Addiction Services as a Family Therapist. Her post-graduate training includes the following areas; Group Facilitation, Addiction, Supervision and Couple Relationships. As a therapist she works with individuals, couples, families and groups providing a safe supportive environment for clients to work on issues that affect them and their families.
