Qualifications : BA. MA. Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. MIACP.
Academic Background : Cathy qualified in 2003 with a post-graduate professional diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from The Tivoli Institute. She was first accredited in 2009. Before then, Cathy graduated with a BA in Communication Studies and an MA in Organisation Communication & Behaviour. She holds multiple course and CPD certificates in career, selection, assessment and coaching tools.
Work Experience : Cathy has been a qualified psychotherapist since 2003. Since then she has been a member of the Fairview Therapy Centre team. Cathy’s broad range of therapy experience covers the areas of depression, anxiety, stress management, isolation, relationship, grief and bereavement, childhood neglect, trauma and abuse.
Cathy has also been a HR professional for over 25 years. She has a deep understanding of the entire range of organisation and workplace opportunities and challenges at all levels. She is an experienced managerial, performance and career coach.
Underpinning Philosophy : Fundamental to Cathy’s psycho-therapeutic practice is a strong belief in the power of listening to the client. Cathy strives to provide the client with the space to revisit and talk through matters most pressing in their current or past life – in this way – sitting with clients who make their own insightful connections and breakthroughs. Cathy draws from an integrative range of psycho-therapeutic approaches adapting to the client’s needs, as appropriate.
